Diagnosed at age 40
I am a 34-year breast cancer survivor. I participated in the original photo exhibit. I was 40 at the time of diagnosis. Most of my first cousins have the BRCA1 gene mutation. Five of us are survivors. Two cousins passed away when treatments were very different. Never stop hoping, praying for positive people to surround you. Listen to music or meditate.
