Diagnosed at age 49
2015: My life changed forever. The lump I found came with a diagnosis of invasive lobular carcinoma. I am a nurse, wife, mother of 3, and an 8-year breast cancer survivor. It was heartbreaking to know my husband and children feared for my life while my fear was for their lives. I have learned each day is special, and you only live it once. You can be brave and scared at the same time. In life the little things are really the big things. In reality, breast cancer gave me so much more than it took away!
