Diagnosed at age 44
I had a tough road of surgery, mastectomy, the strongest chemo possible, radiation, and no promises. My family was wonderful, and my friends and coworkers were unbelievable. I took six weeks off and then returned to work as a sixth grade teacher. On my desk was the name of a person who could cover each period if I needed it! I never knew who put it there, but it was such a comfort!
