Diagnosed at age 59
I am a 2 time breast cancer survivor (age 59 & 64). I found my 1st lump myself. It was confirmed with a mammogram & biopsy. Had chemo, a lumpectomy, then radiation (all during Covid). 5 yrs later my mammogram showed a suspicious area close to my previous incision and a biopsy confirmed it. I’ve since opted for a bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. All is well and I’m feeling great! We all know that mammograms are not very pleasant but, twice they saved my life and I am so very grateful that they were caught early!
