Diagnosed at age 37
On my thirty-seventh birthday, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had discovered the lump through self-examination. Breast cancer is non-discriminating and can occur at any age. Luckily the cancer was detected early and only required surgical intervention. Early detection is the key. I am grateful for each day that I walk upon this earth and the loving support of my husband, friends, and family.
