Diagnosed at age 39

Diagnosed with Triple-BRCA-1, after the birth of my 4th baby. Double masectomy was performed and no lymph nodes involved, but 18months later the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes under the arm, so a lymph dissection was performed and I was fighting stage three cancer. I traveled to Sloan Kettering for a second opinion, the recommendation was Advastin, along with Chemo(Adriamycin and Taxol) along with six weeks of radiation. I now am celebrating 20yrs being free. I advocate for other women and encourage healing & hope through my support group, TheHopeSupportGroup.com and have done my years of therapy work with my dog “Duke” during Westmorland Walks, breast cancer walk and I sit on the board as a member. I believe together as pink sisters, we are stronger and believing you have won the battle is half the cure! Keep running your race and FinishStrong.
