Diagnosed at age 33
I was injured by a patient while working my job as an EMT. I was in the ER to get scans of my back done, and that’s the day my life changed. By luck, a mass in my left breast was discovered. Walking into the ER with a back injury and walking out with stage 4 breast cancer was a shock to the system. The cancer was already spread to my lymph nodes. Two years of chemotherapy and three surgeries later, I am cancer free! I hope for the future detection is encouraged for even younger women.
