Trust your body! If something looks or feels different, please tell your doctor.
That’s what I did last year when I noticed a change in my nipple, and thanks to that, my cancer was caught early. I learned how strong I could be as I went through surgery, radiation, and an emotional roller coaster I thought would never end. I was fortunate to be surrounded by family, friends, love, my faith, and of course, a wonderful medical team to help me on this journey. And I am forever grateful to each and every one.
I remind my friends, coworkers, and anyone that will listen that self breast exams are important and getting your mammogram is a must. Early detection is key, and it saved me.
